Penfield Addiction Ministries, Inc. was born out of a vision of Penfield Baptist Church and the Georgia Baptist Association with the support of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and the North American Mission Board. 

The Georgia Baptist Healthcare Ministry Foundation was instrumental in providing grants to assist in the expansion of Penfield and continues to support the ministry.  Penfield is now supported by gifts from churches and individuals, as well as by client fees.
